Usually known for his reworked interpretations of other artists/bands, Berlin based song-writer, DJ and producer humboldt has released his first original track, ‘From Above’. Taken from his EP Mamihlapinatapai (try saying that when you’ve had a few beers) on his own label imprint set for release this spring, humboldt revels and indeed excels in his DIY debut. With production value slightly similar to SBTRKT in the track’s introduction, ‘From Above’ then balances delicate piano keys with subtly smooth vocals all adding to a delectable, experimental debut. -JE
